What is Kaggle?

Founded in 2010, Kaggle is an online platform for data discovery and prediction competitions. From a company's perspective, they can provide some data and then propose a problem that actually needs to be solved; from a participant's perspective, they will team up to participate in the project and propose a solution to one of the problems, and the best solution chosen by the company will eventually win $5K-$10K USD.

In addition, Kaggle officially organizes a large-scale competition once a year, with a prize money of up to one million dollars, which attracts a large number of data science enthusiasts to participate in it. From a certain point of view, we can understand it as a crowdsourcing platform, similar to the domestic piggy bank. But unlike the traditional low-level labor demand, Kaggle has always been committed to solving the industry's problems, and therefore has created a brand new labor market - no longer using academic qualifications and work experience as the only criterion for judging talents, but focusing on individual skills, and building a bridge between the top talents and companies.
